2. Saturday, April 15, 10:00am - 2:00 pm – Madera County Foothills Regional Tour (Coarsegold)
Host and Co-sponsors: U.S. Forest Service San Joaquin Experimental Range and a collaboration of UC Cooperative Extension, CRCC, USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station, and the Agricultural Foundation of California State University Fresno.
Hear from U.S. Forest Service and CSU Fresno State about their range and grazing partnership. Hear local range, grazing, and ecological research updates from U.S. Forest Service and UCCE.
3. Tuesday, April 18 – Merced County Regional Tour (Hornitos)

See vernal pools in flower and hear from experts on the importance of grazing as a management tool. Featured Speaker: Jaymee Marty, renowned expert on vernal pools. Visit a private ranch and learn about the landowner’s Westland Reserve Easement with NRCS. Hear local range, grazing, and ecological research updates from UCCE and UC Merced.

California Range & Natural Resources Camp Application is Open! Range Camp is an environmental science & management camp for high school students from across California. The June 18-23 camp is at the University of California’s Elkus Youth Ranch in Half Moon Bay. $450.00. funding for scholarships is welcomed.
